YOUR TASKS:

  • Develop & present clear business cases to demonstrate clarity of impacts, costs and benefits to the business.
  • Provide regular updates on pricing and costing initiatives implementation and performance/results/impacts.
  • Review competitive/market research data to obtain macro perspective of market trends and practices.
  • Study internal and external market conditions facing DHL, overlay business targets in terms of market shares and strategic goals, to identify improvement opportunities and pressure points.
  • Conduct annual country reviews to determine pricing strategy for forthcoming year and to ensure proper adherence and deployment of pricing policies & standards.
  • Develop appropriate pricing strategies to optimize opportunities in both price sensitive and price insensitive areas.
  • Develop, communicate and roll-out pricing driven initiatives to support the achievement of short-medium term goals and targets.
  • Conduct periodic pricing audits to ensure processes, systems and skills are in place to support business needs and regional/global initiatives.
  • Deliver best-in-class spot rate solutions, driving efficiency and performance in the team, and defining clear external and internal accountabilities for time / response.
  • Provide input to Country SMT for establishing pricing and profitability priorities and business controlling mechanisms.
  • Analyze profitability and cost drivers within the business unit and provide guidance in dealing with weaknesses.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Pricing functions in the express/logistics/aviation industry or with similar business experience
  • Minimum 2 years in a managerial position
  • MBA, Chartered Management Accountant, Business and Management University degree or Commercial qualification or equivalent.
