About the role

Within 24×7 operational environment, you will be responsible to supervise a team of Store Keepers in a particular shift, within allocated area of Technical Stores / Tools Stores and Logistics section, ensuring that all aircraft spares, tools, equipment and other technical materials are handled and stored in compliance with rules and regulations of Qatar Airways and Civil Aviation authorities (QCAA/FAR/EASA/IATA/OEM) and other government agencies. Will ensure correct transactions are updated and inventory data integrity is maintained, daily activity records are preserved. Should ensure Quality, Finance and HSE policies are practiced and followed, relevant audit requirements are met with right spirit.

Some Of The Tasks Include

  • Ensure stores activities in a particular shift such as preloading, receiving and dispatch, binning and picking, delivery and collection of aircraft spares and materials, tools and equipment are done in a timely manner to support aircraft maintenance and workshop activities, discrepancies are resolved and relevant system transactions carried out at real time.
  • Ensure that the aircraft spares, tools and equipment are segregated and stored with relevant documents to establish the traceability and serviceability status with in the bounded and quarantine stores in accordance with EASA/QCAA/QR/OEM procedures so that items remain in desired condition. Ensure that FIFO is established, life and batch control is strictly followed and controlled, ESDS, cylinders, wheels and dangerous goods are properly stored.
  • Communicate effectively with end users to ensure that activities are prioritized according to the maintenance requirements and to avoid delays and disruptions. Any such cases are immediately brought to the notice of immediate in-charges or Managers.
  • In conjunction with Spares Movement team, ensure that returned serviceable and unserviceable items are handled with in the defined time frame. Liaise with concerned departments to resolve Hold, RTS, Robbery, SDR, TOR, Scrap related items held in Stores Custody. Liaise with MSMC team for timely movement of tools required at other tools store location to support maintenance.
  • Ensure optimal distribution of tasks, utilization of storage space, identify future needs, review and recommend any changes to existing procedures so to ensure best working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Actively participate in Finance, Quality and HSE audits according to the Company requirements and ensure that audit observations are attended and resolved.

About You

  • Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
  • Driving license specially to operate Material handling equipment (Not essential for tools store)
  • Good knowledge and exposure of computerized inventory controlling system.
  • Ability to understand Parts certification, Technical Publications and Company Publications as related to Storage of aircraft parts such as ATA chapters, Vendor Manuals, IPC, CMM, TEM, SDM, Shelf Life Manual and TPM.
  • Familiar with EASA, FAA and QCAA regulations
  • Familiar with Dangerous Goods handling, parts distribution and segregation requirements.
