We are seeking an experienced WAN Engineer to design, implement, operate, and support Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity between geographically distributed locations. The ideal candidate has strong routing expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working with service providers and enterprise network environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain WAN connectivity across multiple sites (MPLS, leased lines, VPN, SD-WAN, internet circuits)
Configure and manage routers, firewalls, and edge network devices
Monitor WAN performance, availability, latency, and bandwidth utilization
Troubleshoot WAN outages, routing issues, and service provider incidents
Coordinate with ISPs and telecom providers for circuit installation, upgrades, and fault resolution
Implement and maintain routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and static routing
Ensure WAN security using VPNs, encryption, ACLs, and firewall policies
Perform network upgrades, migrations, and change management activities
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configurations
Provide Tier-2/Tier-3 support and participate in on-call rotations as required
