Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Security team as a Lead Security Investigations Officer to be based in Doha, Qatar.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to the line manager in protecting QR’s assets, its personnel and customers by conducting thorough investigations into acts of criminality and dishonesty, security incidents and breaches and potential threats. The role involves identifying vulnerabilities, gathering and analyzing evidence and providing recommendations to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.

Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include:

  • Lead and conduct comprehensive investigations into security incidents, breaches, and violations within airport and airline operations.
  • Gather, evaluate, and present evidence to lead or support internal investigations, including those that may result in disciplinary hearings for criminal breaches or breaches of internal policies and procedures.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret large volumes of data and intelligence, ensuring accuracy and actionable outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed, clear, and accurate reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies, including law enforcement, to coordinate responses and share intelligence.
  • Develop and implement preventive measures based on investigation findings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation security regulations, best practices, and emerging threats.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to security personnel.
  • Participate in security audits and assessments as required.

Qualifications About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in airport or airline operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in law enforcement or as a corporate investigator working closely with law enforcement agencies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to decipher and interpret large quantities of data, ensuring results are accurate and reliable.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze intelligence, utilize open sources, and authenticate and verify information.
  • Proven ability to gather, evaluate, and present evidence to lead or support internal investigations, including those leading to disciplinary hearings for criminal or policy breaches.
  • Self-driven, with a proven track record of working independently and proactively.
  • Strong and confident communicator, able to brief and engage with senior management effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Advanced certifications in security investigations or aviation security.
  • Experience in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Proficiency in security investigation tools and software.
  • Knowledge of international aviation security standards and regulations.
