We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Category Executive to join our Grocery team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing product categories, optimizing the product mix, and driving sales growth. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for the grocery retail industry.
Category Management 🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On:
- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to inform category plans.
- Manage the product life cycle, including sourcing, pricing, promotion, and discontinuation.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and promotional activities to secure the best deals for Snoomart.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to meet inventory requirements.
Sales and Performance Analysis
- Monitor and analyze category performance metrics, including sales, margins, and stock levels.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the commercial team to inform decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement within assigned categories.
Promotions And Marketing
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
- Ensure that promotions are effectively communicated to customers and drive sales.
- Evaluate the success of promotions and adjust strategies as needed.
Inventory Management
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Work closely with the supply chain team to manage stock replenishment and reduce out-of-stock situations.
- Implement strategies to manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
🧙♂️ The Magic You Bring
- 3-4 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or a related role within the retail or grocery industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in using category management and inventory management software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, MBA is a plus.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
