Role Description

The Pharmacist will provide safe, accurate, and timely medication management for children receiving care at Reenaz Specialized Center for Child Health. This full-time, on-site role is based in Lusail and involves dispensing medications according to prescriptions, verifying dosages for pediatric patients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The Pharmacist will counsel families and caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and adherence, tailoring communication to the needs of children with developmental and behavioral conditions. Daily tasks include maintaining pharmacy inventory, monitoring medication storage conditions, and coordinating with physicians, therapists, and nurses to optimize treatment plans. The role also supports quality improvement activities, contributes to medication-related policies and protocols, and participates in education and awareness initiatives for staff and families.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist with a recognized degree in Pharmacy (Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy) and eligibility to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pediatric pharmacotherapy, including dosing, safety considerations, and medication counseling for children and families.
  • Strong knowledge of medication regulations, prescription review, drug interactions, and best practices in medication safety and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide clear, empathetic guidance to families and caregivers.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy information systems and electronic health records, with attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to work on-site in Lusail, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical practice.
  • Experience in developmental and behavioral pediatrics or child health settings is an advantage; prior work in specialized or multidisciplinary centers is preferred.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, participation in training and quality improvement projects, and alignment with the center’s values of compassion, inclusivity, and collaboration.
