Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Qatar for a Consultant Gastroenterologist. The Consultant Gastroenterologist will manage and treat disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and performing specialized procedures. Responsibilities include patient consultations, reviewing medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments or medications, conducting endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders, including advanced endoscopic and colonoscopic procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and collaborate with medical teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of medical ethics, patient safety standards, and cultural competence in healthcare delivery.
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology and valid medical licensure to practice in Qatar or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments with excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology; experience in managing advanced cases and working with modern medical equipment is a plus.
