The Spa & Recreation Attendant is responsible for ensuring a seamless, luxurious, and relaxing experience for all spa and recreation guests. This role involves maintaining impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards, providing excellent guest service, and supporting day-to-day operations of the spa and wellness facilities. The ideal candidate is attentive, proactive, and passionate about delivering an outstanding guest experience in a prestigious environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and escort them to spa and recreation facilities.
  • Assist guests with facility orientation, answer inquiries, and handle guest requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor while upholding the high standards of the Raffles & Fairmont brands.
  • Support front-of-house operations including appointment check-ins and VIP guest services.
  • Ensure all spa and recreation areas, including treatment rooms, locker rooms, pools, and fitness zones, are clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
  • Prepare treatment rooms between sessions by changing linens and replenishing products and supplies.
  • Manage inventory levels for towels, amenities, and equipment; report shortages or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Monitor and maintain the ambiance through control of lighting, temperature, and music.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties of the spa and recreation facilities.
  • Maintain logs of daily activities, cleaning schedules, and equipment checks.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to ensure guest safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with spa therapists and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene policies and protocols at all times.
  • Follow all brand standards and operating procedures to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and guest care.
  • Assist in emergency procedures if necessary and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in spa, wellness, hospitality, or recreation facility roles preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties
  • Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
  • Knowledge of basic safety and first aid principles is advantageous
