We’re hiring a Growth Operations Manager to own and optimize our platform budget utilised for order and partner liquidity—a critical lever for driving order growth, locking in commercial partnerships, and maximizing platform efficiency. You’ll directly manage a multi-million QAR budget monthly across the entire Account Management team, building transparent processes to allocate spend strategically while balancing liquidity needs, merchant partnerships, and advertising revenue. This is a high-impact IC role reporting directly to the GM of Food. You’ll own the budget end-to-end, with final approval authority on funding requests. The challenge: turn chaotic, ad-hoc spend into a disciplined, ROI-driven system that scales.
🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On
- Own monthly co-funding budget allocation with full approval authority
- Reject or approve co-funding requests from Account Managers based on strategic priorities and ROI thresholds
- Design and enforce transparent, non-biased allocation frameworks that balance liquidity, commercial value, and fairness
- Track spend vs. budget weekly; flag variances and optimize in real-time
- Target: Improve current efficiency of spend by 15-20% within 3 months.
- Build a co-funding request/approval process from scratch within 30-60 days
- Set clear thresholds (e.g., max funding %, merchant quality tiers, spend caps per Account Manager)
- Create decision frameworks: when to fully fund vs. co-fund, how to prioritize high-value merchants
- Daily and real-time monitoring to ensure accountability over spend.
- Establish reporting cadence: weekly dashboards for GM, analysis of ROI and merchant funding uplift
- Document processes so the system runs without constant GM involvement
- Partner with Account Managers to educate them on co-funding strategy and constraints
- Push back on inefficient requests; build credibility through data-driven recommendations
- Align with Sales and Operations on strategic co-funding priorities (new launches, churn recovery, high-value zones)
- Brief GM weekly on budget status, trade-offs, and optimization opportunities
🧙♂️ The Magic You Bring
- 4-5 years in operations, growth, strategy, or commercial roles (startup/scale-up preferred)
- Build business cases, analyze trade-offs, optimize spend in Google Sheets
- You’ve built frameworks from scratch and made them stick in chaotic environments
- You can push back on senior AMs, negotiate fairly, and influence without authority
- You ship fast, iterate, and don’t wait for perfect data
- You understand levers like discounts, advertising, commissions, and how they drive behavior

- Hands-on experience with SQL or BI tools
- Experience managing budgets in food delivery, e-commerce, or marketplace businesses
