About The Role
As a Commercial Data Application Manager, you will oversee all aspects of visualization, data analysis, management, and governance. You will manage a team of analysts, in collaboration with engineers, working to develop advanced visualizations and analytics solutions to implement data-driven insights across the organization. The ideal candidate should have experience in building insightful visualizations, leading teams, developing strategies, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of analysts, in collaboration with data engineers to design, develop, and implement advanced visualizations and analytics solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities to leverage data to drive business decisions.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders major updates and news concerning creation of new dataset, development of new dashboards, new analytical enhancements, system fault, etc.
- Effective Project Management by coordinating and communicating with all stakeholders involved in the usage of the visualization tool and making sure the tools developed satisfy stakeholders’ needs
- Design and develop new analytical capabilities and models and enhance existing ones for the portfolio of competence in order to facilitate effective and efficient analysis
- Manage requests and users stories for development of new dashboards and/or enhancing/changing existing ones in order to develop analytical tools that fully satisfy needs of all commercial stakeholders involved
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest analytical and data management techniques.
- Plan and develop effective training programs, both face-to-face and virtual targeting the whole commercial departments aiming at upgrade analytical and technical skills of the organization.
- Manage security access and licenses for visualization tools in coordination with IT in order to ensure proper data access in line with company security standards.
- Scale up the usage of visualization tool across the organization through ad-hoc trainings and proper technical support bringing the whole commercial organization towards more advance analysis and business intelligence.
- Look at state-of-the-art tools used in the industry and best practices in order to Innovate, Improve and Advance analytical capabilities within the organization.
- Work closely with the Technical Team to ensure optimal performance of the analytical platform.
- Improve existing processes within the team and the organization which involves data and analytics tools.
- Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
- Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
- Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
Qualifications
About You
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the CBI team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, with 3+ years of experience in a management role.
- Experience managing and leading teams, and developing strategies for data analytics and management.
- Strong knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, and Qlik.
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and foster cross-functional relationships.
- Proven and adequate knowledge of Analytic techniques and Business analysis concepts. Adequate knowledge of Business Planning and Strategy concepts and techniques.
- Strong Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis skills.
- Highly developed skills with MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced, dynamic environment to deadline.
- Methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
- Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
- Command of English language.
