About the job

About The Role The Third Commis is responsible for execution of assigned work assigned by the supervisor to provide and accommodate all daily food products as per specifications and menu. Assists the seniors with all hygiene standards and documentation done for all Mise-en Place and meals. Facilitates at all times proper cleanliness in all work, storage space and refrigeration areas.

  • Prepare food in a fast and efficient manner.
  • Collect all the task information and direction from manager on duty at the start of the shift.
  • Assist the section Chef to complete all assigned tasks.
  • Complete all the food mis-en place and ingredients to be ready for Chefs before cooking.
  • Ensure Mis-en place is carried out as per standard recipe specifications.
  • Assist in facilitating Hygiene and grooming standards and ensuring they are followed.
  • Assist the supervisor in ensuring that basic food safety standards are followed for the assigned job.
  • Assist the supervisor to follow FIFO (First IN First OUT) procedures for food handling of raw materials and processed food at all times.
  • Follow instructions of Chefs to help in smooth operation.
  • Cut and prepare vegetables and raw ingredients required by the hot kitchen for cooking the dishes as per batch wise requirements.
  • Assist in providing and preparing all the red meats, poultry and seafood items required by the kitchen section in preparing the dishes as per batch wise requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring the raw materials requirements and usage used in the section throughout the shift.
  • Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

About you The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following

  • High school qualification.
  • Up to 2 years’ experience.
