About The Role:
Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations – Library team as Flight Operations Librarian to be based in Doha, Qatar.
As a Flight Operations Librarian, you will be responsible for timely distribution of all Operational and Technical Publications, timely updates of operations data on in-house and on-board aircraft manuals as well as ensuring that all aircraft have the most current Manuals on board and updating the Library Management Database accordingly. You will also be responsible for weekly update of the EFB Laptops and Temporary iPads, thereby helping mainly on the safety of all flights by following a standard procedure for smooth flow of information.
Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include:
- Provide daily support with revising and maintaining of the Technical Publication and Manufacturer manuals in the Aircraft Library to a current status.
- Prepare an updating plan as per flight schedule using the Total Operations System (TOPS).
- Update the Technical Documents in the Aircraft Library; maintain the revision cycles of manuals Aircraft manufacturer. Update each manual on board all QR and QE aircraft within five working days upon receipt of the revisions. Complete the update to all proposed changes to company manuals, and report any corrections identified on the revision for the modified manual.
- Prepare the Positioning and Ferry Documents as per request for New Aircraft Delivery and Positioning flight scheduled for maintenance.
- Maintain the Aircraft Library, the currency of all Company Aircraft manuals and frequent update on the Library Record Access Database System.
- Support the fleet new joiners for the QLOUD Devices (Company iPad) and provides them with a complete briefing on; Jeppesen Charts, Manuals on board, EFB types, and other policies and procedures that are to be strictly followed. Provide support to the Pilot’s with the applications and general IT issues.
- Stipulate trouble shooting assistance for devices of the pilots and the crew for an enhanced service delivery, maintaining a reliable and secured operation.
- Update all Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Class 1, Class 2 and Temporary iPad on a weekly revision cycle, and to ensure that all aircraft have the updated EFB’s on board before the departure.
- Provide support in case of EFB’s reported inoperative; checking the device on board and to ensure that the EFB laptops and all the cables are well connected to the docking station, and always ready to proceed with the backup plan as per the MEL.
- Follow the Business Continuity plan in case of crisis; preparation of Destination Trip Kits according to OM Part C and extracted from Jeppesen website.
Qualifications
About you
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Relevant College or University qualifications with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
- Thorough knowledge of fleet type and aircraft registration.
- Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping standard practices.
- Thorough knowledge of procurement process.
- Computer Literacy and must be able to work independently.
- Ability to solve multiple issues and tasks, support and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written English).
