About The Role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations – Navigation Services Air Traffic Operations team as an Air Traffic Operations Intelligence Manager to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As an Air Traffic Operations Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and administrative guidance on policies, procedures, and problem resolution for air traffic activities. In this role, you will specialize in utilizing FTS simulation models, conducting in-depth analyses to identify improvements, and developing strategies to enhance air traffic flow and reduce delays. Additionally, you will also be leading projects related to air traffic operations intelligence, facilitate workshops, prepare detailed reports, and analyze route networks to ensure safety and efficiency.

Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include:

• Provide technical advice and administrative guidance regarding policies, procedures, and problem resolution for air traffic activities.
• Provide specialised support for the utilization of airspace, ground, and FIR fast-time simulation models.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of air traffic operations to identify areas for improvements within the airspace, routes, flight procedures, working methods, etc. with the aim of ensuring the highest possible capacity, efficiency and safety levels.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance air traffic flow and reduce delays based on in-depth operational analysis.
• Lead and manage projects related to air traffic operations intelligence ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss air traffic operations intelligence findings and recommendations with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on air traffic operations intelligence findings to senior management and internal/external stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in air traffic management technologies and methodologies to ensure the environment within Qatar is benefiting the airline to the greatest extent possible.
• Analyse and validate the route network, deployment and utilisation of free route airspace, civil/military airspace interface including utilisation of flexible use of airspace to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Conduct operational reviews following unusual events (e.g. severe weather) to identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Relevant University or College qualifications with Minimum 7 years of job-related experience.
• Experience within an ATM environment for either an Air Navigation Services Provider (ANSP) or Airline Flight Operations environment or related organization engaged in ATM activities.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• ATPL/CPL/Flight Dispatch License/Certification or ATC, ATM qualification preferred.
• Sound knowledge of ICAO documentation on Global Air Navigation Plan, Global ATM Concept and Aviation Systems Block Upgrades (ASBUs) preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ATC procedures, and CNS/ATM Technology.
• Subject matter expert in the field of ATM and knowledge of Airspace planning and Management.
• Demonstrable knowledge of world-wide flight planning and Airline Operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Project Management skills – Ability to independently manage project from its inception to completion.
• Presentation Skills- Ability to develop and clearly present the objectives of the project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
