Parsons is looking for a talented CAD Technician to join our team! In this role, you will apply your CAD expertise to support modifications for GEC projects, focusing on converting designs from MicroStation to AutoCAD. The role will involve executing drafting assignments in compliance with the PWA CAD Manual and assisting with the preparation of close-out drawings according to PDLM guidelines.
What you’ll be doing:
- Execute design changes and layout adjustments for MicroStation-to-AutoCAD conversions, following standard CAD procedures.
- Perform dimensional and routine checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of drawings.
- Adjust or revise drawings for presentation and approval by the Public Works Authority (PWA).
- Collaborate with team members to understand and fulfill drafting requirements.
- Upload finalized documents and drawings to the PDLM system according to project specifications.
- Support with other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Reports directly to the Senior CAD Technician or Project Manager (as applicable).
- Coordinates with Parsons engineering staff to ensure that drafting assignments align with project goals.
What required skills you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline).
- 10 years of experience in CAD drafting, with a focus on MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Proven experience in converting designs from MicroStation to AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of PWA CAD Manual and PDLM guidelines.
- Ability to perform dimensional checks and quality control on CAD drawings.
- Experience working in engineering or construction projects is a plus.
