Your Tasks

  • Demonstrating visible safety leadership and care for people
  • Act as the Company focal point for lifting and scaffolding matters including approval of related documents submitted by Contractor.
  • Ensures all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company and contractually defined policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Apply contractual awareness protecting the Company position when engaging with Contractors on schedule, technical and cost issues.
  • Provide technical support for the selection of Contractor safety critical lifting and scaffolding operatives.
  • Ensuring contractors ongoing competency processes and procedures are compliant to Company requirements and Qatar government regulations.
  • Review and recommend improvements to ways of working, procedures and plans ensuring effective and smooth project execution.
  • Participate in constructability and construction readiness reviews identifying improvement opportunities with contractor team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships, communications with contractor and company functional teams (safety, quality, engineering, business).
  • Attend activity planning and risk assessment meetings, assist contractor in identifying schedule mitigations
  • Undertakes daily walk-through of construction areas, confirming safety standards are maintained,
  • Undertakes daily walk-through of construction areas, confirming efficiency of the work and compliance with the planned daily activities and overall construction schedule.
  • Perform surveillance inspection and audits on the Contractors scaffold and lifting equipment and verifies its condition and validity.
  • Review, approve and audit as required Contractors lifting and scaffolding plans, procedures, method statement, PTW and task instructions.
  • Attends onsite safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure there is a clear understanding of the activities that are to be performed.
  • Review of contractors daily weekly and monthly reports analyzing performance and verifying progress and status.
  • Develops and issues CPY daily and weekly reports as directed by Line Manager

Your Profile

  • Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline and/or recognized industry trade qualifications (e.g., NVQ/City &Guilds, CITB/CISRS LOLER etc).
  • Valid certifications issued by Internationally Recognized bodies
  • More than (10) years proven experience within EPC and/or Client organization.
  • Minimum of 15 years supervisory experience in lifting operations, lifting preparation (lift plans), lifting supervision, lifting equipment inspection and scaffolding.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in lifting & rigging especially in critical & heavy lifts in onshore Greenfield environment.
  • Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills organizational
  • More than (10) years proven experience within EPC and/or Client organization.

  • Ability to read and translate primavera schedules.
