Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based in Doha, Qatar. The surgeon will perform a range of plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic procedures, including pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up. Daily responsibilities include consulting with patients, obtaining informed consent, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing evidence-based surgical care in the day-case surgical unit. The role involves participating in clinical decision-making, maintaining detailed medical records, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The surgeon will also provide patient education, manage complications, and support the centre’s commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery, with experience across a range of elective and urgent cases.
- Solid foundation in general Medicine and Surgery, with the ability to manage pre- and post-operative care safely.
- Competence in Cosmetic Surgery procedures, with an emphasis on safe practice and realistic patient counseling.
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent), board certification or equivalent in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and valid license/eligibility to practice in Qatar.
- Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to clinical guidelines and safety standards.
- Prior experience in a day-case or ambulatory surgery setting and fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an asset.
