Position Title: Compressor Commissioning Engineer

A Snapshot of Your Day As a Compressor Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting turbo compressor systems and auxiliary equipment across global sites. You will act as a key interface between Siemens Energy and customers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to OEM standards.

This role involves extensive travel and hands-on work in challenging environments, including offshore sites, where you will lead commissioning activities and ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Lead the commissioning of compressors, control systems, and auxiliary equipment in line with OEM specifications and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation
  • Interpret P&IDs, electrical diagrams, and control documentation to validate installation and functionality
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide detailed technical reports to customers
  • Document commissioning activities, findings, and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Ensure strict adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and promote a zero-harm culture
  • Execute work in diverse environments, including offshore and remote locations, under varying conditions
  • Engage professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction, protect company interests, and identify business opportunities
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with internal teams including management, sales, and technical support

What You Bring

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in commissioning turbo compressors and related systems
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Dry Gas Seal systems
    • MCC (Motor Control Centers), motors, heaters, fans, and converters
    • Control systems (Siemens S7 / PCS7 / T3000, Allen Bradley, ABB)
    • Loop testing, calibration, surge mapping, and startup activities
  • Experience with Siemens Energy and Dresser compressors (knowledge of other OEMs is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of compressor processes, logic, and system behavior
  • Proven experience in commissioning, upgrades, and modifications of compressor systems
  • Ability to lead commissioning teams and manage technical activities on-site
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Basic commercial awareness to understand contracts and identify opportunities
