About the job

The Accommodation Manager, Snoonu is responsible for the strategic management, compliance, and continuous improvement of company-provided accommodation for bike riders and drivers. This role sits at the core of operational readiness, risk management, and rider welfare.

You will ensure all accommodation facilities operate in line with ISO standards, local labor regulations, and HSE requirements, while supporting rider wellbeing, productivity, and business continuity. This is a governance-heavy, hands-on role with real operational impact.

🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On Strategic Accommodation Management

  • Develop and execute accommodation strategies aligned with rider headcount planning and business growth
  • Plan capacity to support seasonal peaks, mass hiring drives, and contingency scenarios
  • Partner with Operations, Supply, and People & Culture to align accommodation with workforce strategy
  • Monitor accommodation spend and propose cost-optimisation actions without compromising safety or compliance

ISO, HSE & Regulatory Compliance (Core Accountability)

  • Ensure full compliance with:
  • ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
  • ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
  • Local Municipality, Civil Defense, and Ministry of Labor accommodation standards
  • Establish and maintain HSE risk assessments across all accommodation sites
  • Conduct regular internal HSE audits, inspections, and gap analyses
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track closure
  • Maintain complete compliance documentation for audits and certifications

Health, Safety & Welfare Management

  • Implement and monitor:
  • Fire safety systems, evacuation plans, and emergency drills
  • Heat stress controls, ventilation, hydration points, and rest areas
  • Ensure availability and condition of:
  • Fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, emergency exits
  • First aid kits and trained first aiders
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety complaints
  • Lead safety awareness and accommodation HSE training programs

Accommodation Operations & Facility Management

  • Oversee daily accommodation operations including:
  • Room allocation, occupancy tracking, move-ins and exits
  • Maintenance, housekeeping, pest control, and waste management
  • Ensure hygiene, sanitation, and living-space standards are met consistently
  • Manage vendors and service providers (cleaning, security, maintenance)
  • Control assets including beds, lockers, AC units, and shared facilities

Policy, Process & Documentation Control

  • Develop, implement, and review:
  • Accommodation rules and code of conduct
  • Visitor control, curfew, and disciplinary procedures
  • Ensure SOPs are documented, communicated, and enforced
  • Maintain accurate records such as:
  • Occupancy registers
  • Incident and accident reports
  • HSE inspection logs
  • Maintenance and service records

Rider Engagement & Welfare

  • Act as the primary escalation point for accommodation-related grievances
  • Promote respectful living environments and manage conflict resolution
  • Coordinate with P&C on accommodation-related disciplinary cases
  • Support rider wellbeing initiatives linked to rest, hygiene, and safety

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with:
  • Operations and Supply on rider deployment
  • People & Culture on onboarding, exits, and ER matters
  • HSE, Legal, and Compliance on audits and investigations
  • Represent accommodation operations during ISO and regulatory audits

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare regular reports on:
  • Occupancy rates
  • Compliance and audit status
  • HSE incidents and corrective actions
  • Track KPIs related to safety, hygiene, occupancy efficiency, and cost control
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on audits and rider feedback

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Operations, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience managing labor or staff accommodation
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • HSE regulations and labor accommodation standards
  • Experience in logistics, delivery, or blue-collar workforce environments preferred

Certifications (Mandatory)

  • HSC (Health & Safety Certification)
  • First Aid and CPR certification
