Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Deputy Program Director to join our team! Â The Deputy Program Director will provide overall management of project planning and control, contract performance, resource management, stakeholder management, budgets, risk management, continuity planning and miscellaneous project support activities to achieve client project priorities. They will be responsible for the program performance, monitoring progress, resolving issues, taking appropriate corrective actions and implementing measures to prevent and mitigate potential risks.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Establish a scope of services that can be expanded in the future to address client ever-changing requirements.
- Deploy and manage a full-time business support team to deliver the Scope of Services
- Deploy Projects Delivery Teams to deliver Enabling Projects during the term of the Contract, as and when they are required.
- Develop the organization and capabilities to become self-sufficient in the management and operation of all infrastructure, within a collaborative team and partnering framework.
- Focus on improving a number of measured Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that will lead to an improved overall level of service.
- Ensure that the Management Contractor and client outperform on duties (using related payment mechanism directly linked to improvements in measured KPI)
- Oversee the on-time and in-full delivery of the scope initiation documents for the project delivery team in all areas of works.
- Ensure that management contractor personnel work is in accordance with an approved Quality Framework and continuously improve quality through the active participation among internal and external stakeholders.
- To support the Management in providing guidance and direction in all areas of Business for client including preparing the required communication, presentation, participating in events, meetings and addressing issues.
- Develop program management plan including Project scope of work, deliverables, schedules, resources, staffing requirement, risks, continuity planning, training and knowledge transfer and specific client requirements, if any.
- Lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams to achieve program objectives on time and budget. Be the key interface to client and the Parsons executive team to provide reports and status on projects. Confirm program milestones are achieved and program risks are managed.
- Ensure that resources such as staff, equipment, and budget are being used efficiently and effectively to meet program goals.
- Promotes technical excellence on the project, including furtherance of the Quality Improvement Process. Ensures that adequate checking is performed in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Manage the scope and negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.
- Ensures that work is coordinated between the internal and external stakeholders by maintaining clear and frequent communications.
- Provide direction, making decisions and/or obtaining additional assistance as the situation warrants to ensure project completion per schedule and budget.
- Advises management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, scope changes, or other events which could affect project completion and/or profitability.
- Initiates and/or reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.
- Conduct periodic meetings with client on the progress, feedback and corrective actions.
- Logistic Planning & Management
- Planning and overseeing logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
- Ensuring that all logistics activities are in line with the relevant regulations, policies, and procedures; and ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of and adhere to these regulations.
- Monitoring the logistics program performance and managing the risks associated with the program; and taking the corrective actions and implementing measures to prevent and mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct periodic meetings with client.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Business Administration. Master’s degree an advantage.
- Qualified professional who has reached the Senior Management level; capable of providing planning, leadership, direction, and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multi-discipline projects.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in a relevant area, with at least 12 years in a leading role.
- Both regional and international experience is required. Minimum of 8 years of experience shall be gained working in North America, W. Europe, Australia or equivalent
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- Ability to exceptionally communicate verbally and in writing in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and other tools for daily business needs.
