Primary purpose of job
Act as a Primary communication link between the Company and the Chartered LNG Carriers to ensure that the voyage is properly managed and vessels are safely and efficiently operated. Interact with Owners and/or Operators and related parties to resolve problems with regards to fleet commercial operations.
Experience & Skills
• 8 years’ experience of shipping operations within a shipping/Oil/Gas Company or should have sailed as a Senior Deck; or internal transfer from marine/shipping related activities
• Must have previous experience and understanding of ship operations including marine loading and discharging, in LNG or LPG operations.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills and must be a committed team player.
• Good working understanding of Shipping Commercial documents.
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental Standards as they relate to the Oil & Gas Industry and the Marine Environment. Experienced in Marine Incident Emergency Response desirable.
Education
Marine related degree with relevant experience or Class 1 deck or Dual Engine Certificate of Competency or university degree in navigational, Sciences or Business Administration.
