Job Summary:

The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT team, managing network security (firewalls, DMZ), virtualized systems, Windows-based servers and workstations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of Active Directory, Group Policies, web application filtering, and other essential IT tasks. Additionally, the IT Manager will manage IT spend budgets, handle software licensing renewals, and negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement of IT services and equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on network infrastructure, virtualization, system administration, and budget management.

Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi or similar virtualization platforms.

Expertise in Windows Server Administration and Active Directory management.

Solid understanding of firewalls, DMZ setup, and network security best practices.

Proficient in managing switches, routers, and other network hardware.

Experience with Group Policies, Web Application Filtering, and VPN technologies.

Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup solutions, and IT project management.

Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

Proven ability to manage IT budgets, licensing, and cost control.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.

Desired Certifications (Preferred but not required):

VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

Microsoft Certified: Windows Server

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
