The core purpose of this role is to execute a comprehensive Terminals strategy that brings latest device technology from across the world and a best-in-class device experience to Qatar that complements customer acquisition across Mobility / Home / Enterprise segments and delivers a desired growth in market share, service & nonservice revenue, and profits.

The role is to create a device ecosystem with end-to-end ownership of product lifecycle through implementation of an effective product, channel, and marketing strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Execute terminals strategy through introduction of latest technology and best in class customer experience
  • Implement channel strategy that gives superlative experience through physical & digital touchpoints, cutting across consumer & enterprise domain.
  • Create a 360° terminals marketing plan that includes new product launch campaigns, periodic marketing calendar with cross-functional steering for Comms, PR, Digital marketing & CVM platforms
  • Industry wide discussions with various OEMs (product manufacturers) of handsets, accessories, routers, Mi-Fi devices, IOT products etc., and deciding the appropriate product / technology most suitable for customers
  • Testing the devices in cooperation with external & internal Technology team and certifying the devices before procuring
  • Single focal point between Vodafone and vendors for testing / certification related to Terminals related technological advances such as VoLTE, 5G enablement on devices, ViLTE, private network for enterprise domain, Push to Talk technology, IOT technology
  • Liaising with CRA for obtaining CRA product certification and approvals for importing goods into Qatar
  • Implement effective Terminal’s sales & marketing campaigns in conjunction with Comms team.
  • Lead the GTM for major product launches such as iPhone / Samsung flagship launches.
  • Create & offer consumer programs such as Trade-in, Buy Now Pay Later, Apple Carrier Shop Program, and e-shop enhancements.
  • Engage with devices / OEM / IOT manufacturers and implement right set of device partnerships that will yield both technological advancement and commercial benefit to Vodafone Qatar
  • Lead a team of FTEs and FTCs towards common goal of Terminals strategy implementation
  • Ensure that Team signs up with 3rd party resellers like Carrefour, Lulu etc., for distribution of terminals products supplied by Vodafone.
  • Leading the team to take care of retail / Digital channel requirements including ensuring stock availability, deciding on product planogram, Staff training, liquidation of slow-moving products, and marketing campaigns.
  • Guiding the team to effectively manage after-sales service of iPhone and select brands through 3rd party service centre and provide right customer experience.
  • Perform any additional project, task or activities assigned/delegated by the Line Manager.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Telecommunication or equivalent
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Device management, and in Telecommunications sector (Operator or OEM).
  • Should have managed P&L for at least 5 years
  • Marketing background preferred
  • Deliver Terminals Strategy achieving key KPIs of Revenue & Margin
  • Introduction of new products / device partnerships / new technologies in line with industry innovations
  • Obsolescence charge on P&LCommercial Acumen
  • Project Management skills:  since Terminal’s launch requires careful planning and execution.
  • External and Internal Stakeholder Management.
