*4-month contract based in Doha, QATAR*

Key Responsibilities

To ensure that the Hayya Service Center is setup up and operated as per the agreed operational plan. Attend the Venue Management meetings and report to the Logistics Lead on any Risks/Issues/concerns raised or resolutions needed. Maintain high morale of the team.

Qualifications, experience and skills

Education and certifications

  • University degree in an appropriate subject or adequate training/vocational education.
  • Experience and skills

Project management:

  • A minimum experience of 5-10 years in the international sporting event industry
  • Previous experience in FIFA or other football events is desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under stressful conditions
  • Ability to use judgment to assess levels of risk and ability to implement mitigation measures.
  • Ability to delegate responsibility and mentor junior project team members

Team management:

  • Ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and cooperatively within a team situation
  • Previous experience in managing a diverse team of Coordinators
  • Ability to communicate directly with a clear vision of success
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Effective collaboration to ensure the delivery of mutual objectives

Skills:

  • Proven experience in the development and management of international events delivery
  • Highly resilient and able to work calmly when under pressure to meet immovable deadlines in challenging circumstances and go the extra mile
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to deliver results within specified deadlines
  • A methodical and analytical approach to completing work, with excellent attention to details
  • Ability to work under demanding situations to meet aggressive timescales
  • Teamwork approach and excellent team management skills to manage the Hayya team.
  • Positive attitude, patience and persistence
  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability when faced with ambiguity or constant change
  • High level of customer service and negotiating experience
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Exceptional planning, organizational and administrative skills
  • Planning software and online collaboration tools experience (an asset)
  • English fluency – spoken and written (required)
  • Other FIFA languages are an added advantage
  • Arabic fluency – an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Advanced IT skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
