We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher, specializing in teaching Biology to GCSE and A Level students, and KS3 Science, to start in ASAP. The successful candidate will be an outstanding role model within the Department and within the College as a whole. Candidates should have demonstrated success in their current role, be highly motivated and successful practitioners and above all else, have a real passion for the subject. Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including extra-curricular activities.
The Science Department consists of 18 full-time teachers supported by 3 full-time science technicians. Lessons are taught in 13 purpose-built laboratories. The College follows a balanced science programme at Key Stage 3, in line with the English National Curriculum. At Key Stage 4, students opt for Edexcel IGCSE Separate Sciences. At A Level, students opt for Edexcel Physics, Edexcel Chemistry and CIE Biology. Experience of teaching Biology A Level will be seen as an advantage.
All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays, and all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry.
We are a British international school and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is therefore essential.
