Your role

Your role is of a Technical Architect – Java to manage the technical aspects of various software applications within Flight Ops division of Qatar Airways IT. You will be responsible for application architecture / framework, which meets functional and non functional needs. As part of this, you will be responsible in conceptualising, designing, development and rolling out feature changes. You will be involved in the deliberation of functional requirements, guidance and review of the design, usage of correct tool set for productivity and quicker development cycle.

Qualifications

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum 10 years of Java development experience and having worked in architecturally complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Design Patterns, Data structures & Algorithm, Integration Patterns.
  • Knowledge on skill-set: Java, Spring, JavaScript, RDBMS.
  • Experience in Non-Functional Requirements realization relevant to business critical and “High Available” application.
  • Experience in production performance optimisation.
  • Exposure to continuous integration like Jenkins / Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Good command of English and should be able to articulate ideas / proposal properly.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of an Airline’s Flight Operations data domain (Flight and Crew related domain)
  • Exposure to Container Platforms : Docker / Kubernetes
  • Exposure to Capacity Planning, Deployment Design
