Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Aircraft Catering Company. In this role you will be responsible for organizing operations of all sections of Stores Department by leading directly and indirectly a team of staff members for an efficient work flow. To implement monthly rosters and plan annual leave for subordinated employees in order to maintain manpower coverage. To follow up the system support function (ERP and WMS) in order to provide accurate information to all departments. To coordinate with all internal stakeholders as well as external partners to support timely and efficient receipts and issuances of materials.

Key accountabilities for the role include:

  • Composes and implements monthly rosters for all subordinated staff members. Review and submit time & attendance reports for Manager’s approval.
  • Reviews and endorses signed (PODs) Proof of Delivery (Invoices, Delivery Notes) to ensure products are accepted as per purchase order and all deviations from the purchase order are duly authorised
  • Communicates with a third party logistics (3PL) partner to organise timely and efficient receipts and issuances of materials.
  • Communicates to Planning and Production departments in respect of usage for short life and slow moving items in order to minimize wastage.
  • Oversees system support function, communicates to authorized system support providers on all issues pertaining to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) including warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Takes overall responsibility for organizing cycle end inventory; monitors stock variances in order to reduce them to the minimum.
  • Oversees adherence to Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure all operational processes are carried out in efficient and safe manner as outline in respective document.

About you:

You should have at least a High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent and 3 years of job related experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of job-related experience. It is highly beneficial if you have worked in a large catering environment or a five star hotel and have knowledge and adherence of HACCP Policy and Standard Quality Procedures.

It is preferred if you have:

  • Good communication and in writing English
  • Advanced computer skills includes Advanced user in MS- Excel
  • Effective coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP and/or WMS.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards Software.
