Job Description

Primary purpose of job

Origination, marketing and sales (or purchase) of petroleum products representing the front face for QatarEnergy to global clients.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 10-12 years of professional work experience with 8 – 10 years of experience in petroleum commodity marketing, trading and/or sales management, customer relationship management and managing/directing commercial operations. Preferably with a mid to large size organization in the energy industry.
  • Marketing and trading of petroleum commodities, sales and client-relationship management must be demonstrated in previous jobs and/or assignments.
  • Customer service / client-relationship focus role must be demonstrated in previous jobs and/or assignments.
  • Experience in origination of new clients and/or markets.
  • Experience in commercial risk and risk management.
  • Experience in financial controls and business controls.
  • Experience in commercial agreement negotiations and implementation.
  • Expert in products’ qualities and value in quality differences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of international the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Knowledge of product value chain and areas in commercial agreements where further value can be extracted and where value must be protected.
  • Excellent negotiation skills. Strong ability to conclude deals with clients and finalize sales agreements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business/Commerce (Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, etc) or in the field of Engineering (with relevant experience in marketing and sales).
