About the job

Job purpose :

  • Develop and manage an effective annual sales plan driven by growing the existing customer base to present the Bank with increased revenue opportunities. Manage the Treasury sales customer client base and maintain customer relations on behalf of Treasury & Investment department.

Responsibilities :

  • Support the Head of Treasury & Investments in implementing the department’s sales strategy by developing an effective annual sales plan to identify relevant business opportunities and to target prospective clients.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies including Customer Limit and Approved Product Policy and the additional requirements and limits set by the relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure full awareness and compliance of all the policies and procedures issued in relation to ML & CFT on an on-going basis.
  • Support the Head of department in ensuring that appropriate product capability is in place to effectively support the target customer strategies of the Bank. Identify the target customer segments and maximize market penetration and share of customer wallet.
  • Understand the client’s business environments, strategies, and industry to provide the best solution for their situation.
  • Strive to increase the Bank’s share of the customers wallet through regular client meetings and discussions covering new products, market and industry developments.
  • Provide quotations, with the approval of management, of deposit, FX rates – spot and forward rates across various currencies to other departments, branches and Corporate clients, when required.
  • Process FX, MM, IRS, SWAPS deals into OPICS. Write procedures when required and handle negotiation of documentation including ISDA from inception. Ensure all clients documentation and limits are up to date.
  • Stay abreast of market by continuously monitoring news and events and keep management aware of market related events and product developments.
  • Maintains the database of treasury sales customers, ensuring its timely update after contact with potential and current Bank customers.
  • Coordinating with various internal departments to promote cross-selling of Treasury services.
  • Establish a high quality customer service through effective liaison with clients. Support the bank’s strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact, supplying market information and having superior product knowledge.
  • Manage the Treasury sales team to ensure delivery of the annual sale’s plan to meet the targets. Responsible for providing on-the-job training to assigned staff and ensuring training requirements are appropriately met.
  • Measure performance of subordinates and assist the Executive Manager in managing team’s KPIs in order to maximize subordinate, team and department performance.
  • Compile & review Monthly Sales Activity reports and Daily Market report. Provide the Executive Manager with periodic reports including Client Call reports.
  • Represent the department and actively contribute in internal meetings with various departments as well as external meetings with clients.
  • Undertake any other duties of similar nature that are related to the department and are within the expertise and skills of the job holder.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with preferably Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Experience:

At least 08 – 10 years relevant experience in Treasury and Investment sales Services.
