Job Description

Primary objective

Provide construction input in all project phases within the Design Engineering office, interface proactively with the site team, provide input into the development of Construction ITT package and development of AFC Construction Work packs

Specific accountabilities

  • Provide construction input and review of project documentation;
  • Provide construction input, prepare and coordinate/facilitate engineering/design and constructability reviews as required;
  • Provide input into Construction ITT and development of Construction Work pack;
  • Provide input in scope of services;
  • Interface with Engineering, QA/QC, Project Services, Contracts, HSE, Risk, HR, Procurement, Materials and Logistic to ensure that all aspects with regards to construction and implementations are addressed to minimise project risk and optimised cost;
  • Provide input and prepare project estimates for all stages of implementation scope development process as required;
  • Coordinate resolution on-site queries from design office;
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination between construction site, implementation contractors and EPCM home office;
  • Gather information about the site, etc. through lessons learnt to ensure that critical issues are identified and incorporated in current and future projects;
  • Log lessons learnt related to Construction and Constructability of the project in the project lessons learnt register;
  • Maintain an effective filing and records retrieval system.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the CSG, etc
  • Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the CSG, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Essential Skills/experience

  • Minimum 12 years experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related projects Design and Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in offshore Brown Field Oil and Gas Project Delivery as Senior Construction Engineer in a multidiscipline workforce

Education

  • Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree from an accredited university.
  • MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period
