Job Description

Today we are hiring a Public Relations Officer for Siemens Mobility Qatar. The position holder will manage all Public Relations activities for assigned business which includes the processing and carrying out all transactions relating to visas, permits, licenses, registration, pertaining to employees and their family members, liaising with various Government Departments and Agencies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and liaises between the company and Government organizations / authorities and provides a key inter-face between the two for all aspects of renewal and maintenance of company registration and applications
  • Liaises and coordinates with Government organizations / authorities regarding all aspects related to renewal and maintenance of Employment Permits, Visas and Residency Permits, and associated activities
  • Maintains and updates Visa files as and where required ensuring correct quotas and general adherence to Qatar Immigration and Labour Laws
  • Attends queries and concerns from employees and their families in order to assist them and resolve all government related services
  • Maintains all Company and employee relevant official records and documentations as required
  • Assists employees in obtaining/completing necessary formalities with the embassies and other authorities
  • Keeps track and informs the management of any amendment and/or new government rules or regulations that can impact employees or the company
  • Liaises internally with the HR team to provide status and updates regarding progress of activities and highlights any potential challenges

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • BA in public relations, communications, or equivalent qualification
  • Min. of 5 years of experience in HR, in particular completing PRO services
  • Understanding of Qatar Labor Law and processes
  • Experience in a multicultural environment

Skills Required:

  • Excellent command of both the spoken and written English and Arabic language
  • Ability to find quick solutions to problems, ability to think outside the box
  • Good at establishing and maintaining relationships with government bodies and employees
  • Strong/ Confident computer skills – ability to use outlook, MS office and phone apps
