Action Global Communications, a fully integrated communications agency spanning three continents, is looking for a dynamic, result-driven and passionate PR Account Director to support the development and implementation of high-level communications campaigns in Qatar, with a strong background in Finance and Corporate Comms.

Role Description

  • Acts as the most senior communications consultant and key person to forming communications strategy for the clients
  • Devising and implementing strong integrated comms strategies (360) including goals, tactics and budget
  • Maximizes brand presence on various channels and ensures brand consistency in all comms efforts
  • Manages client expectations and satisfaction
  • Edit, revise and approves content for traditional or digital media outlets
  • Tracks and influences media coverage
  • Reports on PR campaigns’ results
  • Authority to consult clients on issues/crisis, strategies and development of the account
  • Builds relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
  • Works closely with Account Managers and Account Executives on daily operational processes
  • Sets objectives and delegates tasks for the PR team and monitors team members’ performance
  • Mentors and nurtures PR team members
  • Assesses and structures training needs and staff development
  • Manages sensitive issues to maintain company’s good reputation
  • Seeks opportunities to grow business with existing and new clients
  • Provides support for agency growth and development of new business pipeline
  • Leads brainstorming sessions and comes up with innovative and effective ideas.
  • Leads new business pitches by providing knowledgeable insight, writing, and presenting proposals

Knowledge and Experience

  • Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline
  • Proven working experience in public relations required (minimum 8 years)
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns for financial and corporate clients
  • Good understanding of how the financial and corporate community operates
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills in Arabic and English (proof of past work required)
  • Excellent verbal skills in Arabic and English, with an ability to handle technical and industry-related terminology and language in client meetings
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Tech-savvy with a strong online presence on one or more social networks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize and work on several projects/activities simultaneously
  • A “can-do” temperament. Commitment to meeting deadlines and going the extra mile
