Job Description

We are looking for a PROJECT MANAGER, with minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a Project Manager for Interior works, Fit Out Project. Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or any related field and certification as a Licensed Professional Engineer. Holding a valid Qatar ID and able to provide NOC to join our company located in Doha, Qatar.

The Project Manager is responsible for the execution of duties to the highest possible standards by leading the fit-out team in the planning, coordination and control of projects from inception to completion. He will also monitor compliance with the fit-out projects and identify mitigation plans if the project is in delayed.

Functions:

Your duties will consist of but will not be limited to:

  • To monitor and supervise the project execution process on site to ensure completion of the job within specified time frames, in an organized and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure that the completion of the project is in accordance with the approved design and quality standards.
  • Examine the drawings, assess the material requirements, approve and submit the material requisition accurately so as to facilitate purchase of appropriate quantities of materials.
  • Examine the project program and based on the schedules mentioned assess the material and manpower requirement for the job.
  • Coordinate with the client and consultant on all issues pertaining to the drawings, plans, schedules and problems for quick resolution of all issues.
  • Monitor progress against the project plan and keep the client updated on the progress taking quick corrective action where required.
  • Conduct quality checks on works carried out to ensure that the products meet all client specifications.
  • Coordinate with the municipality agencies during spot checks on the site and ensure adherence to Quality, Health and Safety regulations on all assigned sites.
  • Supervise the site regularly; attend to all technical and engineering problems, additional manpower requirements, drawing changes, etc. in an effective and timely manner thereby achieving client requirements and quality standards.
  • To stay up to date on the QCCD approvals and all Government requirements for modification and fit-out works.
  • Conduct necessary assessment and provide recommendations of building applications.
  • Coordinate with other necessary authorities to facilitate the building permits application approval processes.
  • Management and compliant delivery of the company ISO and HSE management processes and procedures from the Government laws and regulations.
  • Manage all aspects of performance of the team to encourage professional growth.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with all company associates in both written and verbal form.
  • Conduct weekly meetings regarding technical and engineering problems, pertaining to the drawings, plans, schedules and others.
  • Provide training to subordinates in weekly basis and when needed.
  • Resolve the complaints received from customers.
  • Study inventory status and place orders based on stock availability and customer orders.
  • Collect pending payments from customers and expedite pending executions.
  • Provide weekly report to the Operations Manager.
  • Make sure that the team members update their reports on a daily basis.
  • Make sure the team is present on duty and on time in the projects.
  • Maintain a courteous attitude when communicating with superiors, co-workers or subordinates.
  • Ensure that your team has a fair and accurate leave plan every year. In high and low seasons, the project’s operation should run smoothly, and overlap should be avoided.
  • Make sure the team does not disclose or transmit any confidential or trade secret information, or proprietary information, about the company and its subsidiaries, or about the company owners, including their names, occupations and contact information to any third parties.
  • Ensure that your team’s appearance is appropriate to the workplace and the work they do.
  • Report to the Operations Manager any violation occurring in the department and projects so that an appropriate disciplinary action can be taken.

Skills:

  • Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast project requirements.
  • Able to work well within a team-based environment.
  • Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable
  • Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Have good practical organization skills, planning of resources and program scheduling.
  • IT Literate able to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in administering local building contracts.
  • Meticulous and highly organized
