About the job

Responsible for preparing, administering and coordinating production schedules in accordance with customer and engineering demand. Planning & optimizing utilization of resources (Manpower & Material) and providing technical support to personnel. Ability to report and take ownership of revenue targets set by Management. Contribute to Company vision of creating fast, dependable and creative solutions for its customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Production team and provide technical support.
  • Maintain production register identifying production start date, dispatch date and any delays with remarks to update Key Accounts Manager as and when required.
  • Review job requirements, liaise with customers for any clarifications and arrange technical support and drawings as necessary.
  • Produce BOM and release to stores, raise purchase requisition and loading note for any sub-contracting job.
  • Produce and release route sheet to workshop with any specific requirements/instructions.
  • Follow up with sub-contractor to ensure every function is carried out as per planning and requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring production plan stays on target, identifying any necessary actions and flagging up delays to Production Director.
  • Responsible for ensuring final dispatch from stores.
  • Embrace “Our Ethos” principles and seek to apply these in the workplace.
  • Recommend improvements to production control business systems to Production Director.
  • Contact Sales / Estimation / Customer regarding the Scope of work for the items received.
  • Arrange with Production Support / Document Controller to open new SO/WO.
  • Prepare Contract Review after referring the enquiry review / quotation / LPO.
  • Check the Production Plan and update Customer (verbal & email) with the delivery Schedule.
  • Follow up with QC for the Initial Inspection report.
  • Follow up with the estimation for the quotation.
  • Plan and schedule Job as per customer requirements, after checking workshop load, availability of spares from our suppliers, and commitments to other Customers.
  • Follow up with procurement dept. and suppliers to get the required quality spares within the time frame and within our budget for the jobs.
  • Provide the details to Production Support to raise the PR.
  • Monitoring the progress of the jobs in workshop and updating the customers regularly.
  • Coordinate with customer / Production Support / stores / QC and Document Controller for arranging to dispatch the job.
  • Preparing the completed jobs for Invoicing by ensuring all the costs are captured correctly.
  • Contacting the customers for feedback on the completed jobs.
  • Updating iFlight with correct promised delivery dates for each Sales Order line item.
  • Maintaining the planning sheet.
  • Responsible for the general housekeeping and cleaning of area of working.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Expert:
  • Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook)
  • Product knowledge of API equipment, Pumps, Valves and Miscellaneous Mechanical equipment. Proficient:
  • Good understanding of planning and logistic methodologies
  • Document Control
  • ISO 9001 / APIQ1 Experienced in:
  • An understanding of operations in an engineering workshop environment.
  • API equipment, Pumps, Valves and Miscellaneous Mechanical equipment.
  • Project Management skills

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in rank.
