Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop sourcing and Procurement activities that support key business objectives
  • Develop and execute short and long term Procurement strategies and annual operating plans
  • Identify areas of improvements to continually drive performance and business results
  • Maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost and quality targets are met
  • Track and deliver cost savings initiatives across the business
  • Implements a system that would screen, monitor, prefer and develop supplier which consistently meet quality and delivery specifications
  • Negotiates and checks both capability of suppliers to provide critical requirements related to the items
  • Benchmarks within and across industries to network with reputable suppliers, gets comparative data and acquires best practices on materials management
  • Checks quotations, PO and makes sure that all are aligned to the approved budget
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned or required of the job from time to time by Immediate Superior

Job Specifications:

  • At least 10 years of working experience specializing in Supply Chain management
  • Candidate available locally in Qatar will only be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree with Engineering certificate
    Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in procurement material inventory and control, audit, plant logistics and assets tracking management
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
