The essential functions of this role are:

  • Create and prepare all pastry items as required by the business.
  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, mini bites, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
  • Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
  • Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times.
  • Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients.
  • Oversee a team of junior pastry cooks and other staff members as necessary.
  • Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace.


  • Minimum three years’ experience as a Pastry Chef for a premium restaurant/Hotel.
  • Expertise in food product, presentation, quality, and preparation.
  • Menu concept and menu design required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and focus attention on guest needs.

Degree in Culinary Arts

Salary: Up to QAR10,000
