This position within the Qatar Airways Group Medical division will be responsible for rendering effective and quality nursing care in an organised and systematic way according to the established policies and procedure with provision and promotion of safety among the staff and the working environment.
You will be responsible for assisting and carryout regulatory medical examination procedures for flight deck and cabin crew (for QCAA and other International Regulatory Authorities license process) as required. You will take responsibility for Collaboration of Multidisciplinary Health Care Team in the client’s treatment plan and coordinates with the concerned department as follows.
In Addition, Key Responsibilities Include The Following
Perform medical health check for Junior staff,/ Executive check-up for Senior staff as required and if needed, coordinates with concerned department.
Administer treatment and medication as prescribed including vaccination among the staff when authorized to do so.
Assist and perform routine laboratory and diagnostic procedure including Drug Screening as per protocol, accomplish related documentation and notify concern department as required.
Collaboration of Multidisciplinary Health Care Team in the client’s treatment plan and coordinates with concerned department as follows:
Facilitate referrals of clients to other health institutions as required
Monitor report and assist in screening communicable disease exposure. Supervision of the staff who are undergoing Direct Observation Therapy (DOT) / malarial prophylaxis.
Conducts hospital/ home visit and making follow up calls on scheduled basis as required.
Give proper health teaching/counselling to the patient in prevention of illness, promotion and maintenance health.
Trigging patients as to the level of care needed and carrying out treatment as per doctor’s order.
Responds promptly to emergency situations and implements appropriate care accordingly.
Documentation of clinical data as follows :
Regulatory process for flight deck and cabin crew including initial and renewal of their license (follow up on their psycho/medical commission/residence permit report). Maintain accurate records, preparation and updating files and database records
Sorting of Regulatory files, and other medical records and arrange filing accordingly
Performs quality control checks on aircrafts’ first aid kits.
To be successful for that role you must have Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing as well as significant related experience. In addition you should hold registration as a nurse in Qatar or your home country and you must have minimum of minimum 4 years of job-related experience including at least 3 years post registration experienced to be eligible for Nursing license in Qatar. You should be eligible for licensing with the Qatar ministry of public health. Must be eligible for Certification in Intermediate Life Support Program. Proficiency in both spoken and written English; able to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
