About the role

We are now hiring talented individuals to join the Distribution team to support commercially and technically the implementations with Aggregators, 3rd Parties and all Agencies and Sellers globally that wish to connect to Qatar Airways using New Distribution Capability (NDC) and other Distribution solutions in our Distribution Transformation program.

NDC Onboarding and Implementation Officer is also responsible for identifying NDC implementation opportunities, building business cases and preparing training and communication materials related to Distribution Transformation program. In addition this role is responsible for participating on the internal NDC technical and /or commercial work streams and supporting NDC development with external IT providers and NDC implementations with 3rd parties.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Identify potential, technologically and economically feasible onboarding and engagement opportunities to grow NDC share, enhance revenue streams, build upsell opportunities and cost effective distribution solutions.
  • Build business cases for senior management to justify and facilitate these implementations.
  • To be technical and / or commercial point of contact for Sales teams and for Agents, Sellers and other 3rd parties (e.g. aggregators, platforms) that wish to learn more about planned NDC enhancements.
  • Prepare internal and external communications and change management initiatives related to distribution transformation projects e.g. NDC program. Prepare materials and communications for sales teams to use with partners. Train internal and external stakeholders on distribution transformation related topics.
  • Support NDC development with external IT providers and NDC implementations with 3rd parties.
  • Maintain and update NDC implementation roadmap including Seller pipeline, technical capabilities and enhancements.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professionals to join the Global Sales team.

  • Minimum bachelor degree or equivalent is essential.
  • 3+ years of experience in the airline distribution ecosystem – experience on technical NDC implementations is highly appreciated.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, in tight timelines and various projects in parallel.
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and work within a multi-national and multi-cultural environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate project activities and tasks across departments, vendors and stakeholders.
