Marina Manager

Mourjan Marinas

The Marina Manager reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for the operation of the entire company, which includes(but not limited to) day to day operations, management and planning, to ensure efficient and profitable operations, and maximizes the potential of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and reports on the annual marina business plan including all marina operating budgets, marketing plans, customer service improvement programs, staffing plan, etc. Ensures effective control of revenues, COGS, expenses and operating results, and takes corrective action to guarantee the achievement of marina operating objectives
  • Provides the Marina Owner and the Company detailed monthly and annual reports on all marina business activities, financial results and key statistical data
  • Implements and maintains systems and processes that effectively provide all marina customers, tenants and contractors with the highest level of professionalism and customer service. This includes ensuring all marina staff and direct reports maintain the standards; consistency of approach is essential
  • Develops strategic marketing and sales initiatives to ensure continued business growth • Manages all employees effectively and in accordance with all established HR policies. Carries out regular performance reviews and staff meetings
  • Ensures all property and assets are maintained, monitored and presented in a manner that is in keeping with the marina standards
  • Meets established quality standards for all marina related operations; ensures the recognized standards are maintained and that quality and delivery commitments are met
  • Coordinates marina operations to obtain optimum berth or property occupancy rates

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred in Busines Management, Hospitality or Asset Management
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the business at an international level. At least 5 Years in top management
  • Possess great skills in Ms Office package, any reputable ERP System, and Contact Management systems

Language Ability: Fluent in written and spoken English. (the Arabic language will be an advantage).

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee:

  • Is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Working hours are 8 hours a day, with 5 days a week. However, due to the nature of the job, the employee will be required to attend to customers/work during weekends and/or after working hours which might include the report to work at night
