About the role

Support day-to-day hotels operations from the owner side, providing assistance and support on the various stage’s prior from hotel acquisition to ongoing operational monitoring. Conduct research on potential hotel leads and assist the Director of Operations to populate all reports related to the hotel’s operation, Review, comment and propose amendment on Share Purchase Agreement, Hospitality Management Agreement, and proxy to protect the company’s best interest. Analyze Profit and Loss hotel reports prior to draft recommendation to DOP, Review Capex proposal, submit and challenge DF operators on potential ROI. Contribute to develop new synergies within QR Group to either generate additional revenue, or improve cost saving.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Initiate and conduct research on hotels leads – covering all aspects such as brand recognition, location, inventory, overall guest satisfaction, services and facility, identity direct competitor and create SWOT analyses when needed.
  • Review hospitality management contracts and deliver comments highlighting any risk for the company as a potential new owner.
  • Deliver outstanding financial analytical support to enable effective decision making in the evaluation of hotel acquisitions. Work closely with senior management in the development of financial strategy for integration of business acquisitions into the QR Group
  • Provide strategic and analytical support to cover varying levels of complexity for investment decisions, project management and post investment analysis, all of these to be delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Manage, capture and integrate market intelligence into strategic planning, ensuring appropriate focus on delivering competitive advantage.
  • Obtain advice on the optimum capital structure for investments, provide options for servicing debt and/or payment of dividends to facilitate the movement of funds between geographies and entities.
  • Portfolio/Programme Management – ensure portfolio of projects is managed in line with agreed timelines and deliver agreed benefits.
  • Verify all internal audit reports on daily basis ensuring that internal policies are implemented, controlled and recorded to support external audit.
  • Manage, track and report on multiple projects (acquisitions, ongoing operations, holding companies setup) and coordinate various activities with internal and external teams.
  • Organize and coordinate monthly meeting performance review and ad hoc all hotel operators with all stakeholders, and populate a monthly comprehensive asset management report for each hotel.
  • Organize DOP site visits, duty travel plan, and VIPs visiting QR Headquarter and interacting with hotels’ owners, developers, bank and lawyers. Consolidate DOP analysis on hotel potential lead and summarize recommendations to the senior management.
  • Work with Subsidiary management team on conducting with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Procurement) and external consultants and specialists (hospitality management companies, lawyers, tax, project managers) on due diligence, recommendations, management updates and presentations.
  • Work with potential business partners (internal and external) to support the development of Dhiafatina Hotels portfolio. Meet, discuss and agree with various QR stakeholders to resolve issues, take action and address tasks.

About you:

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience

  • Graduate in Business Admin, Finance, or Project Management.
  • Background in asset management, project management, finance, analysis.
  • Actively involved in medium-large hotel portfolio, part of the operational management team.
  • Experience within the hospitality/hotel industry.
  • Experience in simple to medium complexity business case creation.
  • Experience in developing Financial models, ROI.
