The Job design Specialist is responsible for defining the main principles for the creation and evaluation of jobs and grades across the organization. The incumbent designs and maintains the job matrix, job families, job design tools, guidelines and standards operating procedures in line with the healthcare industry standards.

Additional KEY duties assigned to this position in clear, concise language:

1. Apply suitable Job Evaluation Methodology to measure, evaluate, classify and map jobs and their respective grades across the organization

2. Assess, design and maintain the job matrix structure of all jobs in the organization

3. Carry out comparative job analysis of job functions, specifications, grades, etc. in relation to other jobs within the organization to ensure consistency of grading for similar roles found in different departments.

4. Investigate job evaluation requests from the stakeholders, finding out the rational for evaluation in order to ensure appropriate upgrade of roles.

5. Undertake Job Analysis by studying jobs performed, interviewing incumbents and their supervisors to accurately ascertain job requirements and its responsibilities

6. Benchmark jobs in healthcare to prepare evidence based job descriptions for new and existing roles within the organization

7. Assess, benchmark and maintain job families in line with healthcare industry standards

8. Facilitate, develop and maintain the methodology, guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures for job creation, job update and job evaluation

9. Checks the consistency of job descriptions with internal policies and procedures ensuring compliance with JCI guidelines

10. Periodically audit the Job Titles to further streamline the organization structure making it more lean and efficient

11. Review, benchmark and create career ladders in line with the organization structure

12. Lead complex job design and classification projects across the organization, develop proposals, , metrics, presentations, etc.

13. Design and establish SOPs to streamline job design processes and lead process improvement initiatives

14. Assist the Job Design Manager in acting as an advisory and subject matter expert to external healthcare organizations on job mapping, developing job descriptions, establishing job design processes, etc

15. Train and guide the new hires joining the team on processes and procedures
