Job Description


Iberdrola is a leading multinational group in the energy sector: number one Spanish energy group, one of the Spanish main companies on the Ibex 35 by market capitalization, world leader in renewable energies, and one of the world’s top power companies.

As part of its international bet on innovation, Iberdrola has set up a world-class Technology Innovation Center at the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP). Aiming at Defining the Digital Utility, Iberdrola Innovation Middle East (ME) works at the intersection of energy and digital technologies, focusing on three innovation areas: smart grids, renewable energy integration and energy management.


The Innovation PMO Manager is a key role to manage the development and growth of the company. The successful candidate would be supporting directly the Managing Director of the company in the following functions:

Drive the innovation process:

Management of the innovation process: project selection, assessment and closure
Ownership of Innovation Impact Balance Score Card
Company representation before Qatar stakeholders (e.g., QSTP, QNRF, )
IP and Knowledge Management
Frame innovation opportunities at the concept evaluation stage:
Mapping client needs to project design and expected outcomes
Benchmarking of available technical solutions
Development of business case for new products or services
Design and implementation of Marketing and Outreach strategy:
Identification of events, conferences and seminars for participation
Update of company webpage, presentation, leaflets and other direct marketing materials in cooperation with Iberdrola internal and external communications teams

Business development and monetization:

Identification of sources of R&D funding and coordinated preparation of proposals
Technology monetization strategy and implementation
Support for consulting services proposal preparation
Design, implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures:
Coordination of Office Administration, including logistics
Single Point of Contact for Legal, Compliance and other Group Corporate functions


  • Minimum qualification requires BSc Degree by a renowned international university;
  • At least 5-year experience in the management of innovation, management consulting or similar;
  • The successful candidate must be digital technology savvy, have strong organizational skills and have the ability to work with others in a non-hierarchical environment;
  • Fluency in English is essential. Spanish would be a strong plus.
