We are looking for confident Hygiene Officer to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate team at voco Doha West Bay Suites. The main responsibilities of this role are to implement a training plan for HACCP, allergen control, chemical control and glass control, to perform mock recalls and ensure identification, labeling, and traceability system functions as planned, and to ensure that all the food safety related documents and records are up to date, while keeping in mind the Qatar Food Safety Laws and Regulations. This position will be in charge of ensuring Qatar Clean guidelines issued by Ministry of Public Health and QNTC are implemented and followed.
Your day to day
The key responsibilities are: To perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the senior team To conduct the internal audits according to plan and ensure appropriate actions are taken in regards to the highlighted issues To ensure adherence to ISO 22000 standards To support the culinary and food safety team to reach common goals To communicate challenges to the concerned department including engineering, receiving, kitchen, F&B, stewarding etc. To carry out frequent spot checks and prepare the team for preventive controls To handle the food safety related incidents and prepare necessary reports To review and evaluate all system records for accuracy and completeness To advice the stake holders as necessary for continual improvement of food safety standards
What we need from you
Ideally, you’ll have some or all of the following qualifications and experience we’re looking for: Required Skills: Post-graduate / Graduate in Food Science / Food Microbiology / Food Technology / Bio-Technology Completed Level 4 Award / Advanced Food Hygiene Training Completed HACCP / ISO 22000 Internal Auditor Training Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in 4 and 5 stars hotels / catering establishments
