Job Description

As Food Safety and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible to manage maintenance and updating of the QACC Quality and Food Safety System. Assure audit proof filing system in compliance with relevant international standards and local legislation. Identify and manage the implementation of Quality Control Points in First Time Quality System within Lean Manufacturing Processes. Define, oversee and steer supplier accreditation processes jointly with the procurement team. Assures keep-training records up to date and available for review at all times.

  • Manages system documentation maintenance related to Food Safety, Hygiene, Quality and process inspections to enable seamless controls are in place to achieve set organizational KPIs.
  • Conducts risk assessments on production and operations processes to ensure these are reflected in the QACC Quality System documentation. Conducts bi-annual product recall tests to ensure robust controls are in place and functioning.
  • Manages the coordination of the supplier accreditation process with Procurement to avoid supplier appointments without valid accreditation and assure suppliers relevant food safety compliance. Advises suppliers on Food Safety and Compliance requirements to assure QACC’s food safety requirement is met.
  • Assures and partakes in all external certification – accreditation process to support status of 5 Star airline caterer. Upon certification – accreditation takes an active role to maintain and update the associated processes. Assures the certification – accreditation in HACCP and Halal to comply with international standards annually reviews and updates training materials to assure latest requirement is met.
  • Supports the development of an e – tracking system for HACCP records and traceability to assure quick reference in production data.
  • Responsible for Hygiene Audits and Training to assure all staff are frequently updated in food safety and process controls Defines Lab and reviews lab test requirement in association with global standards to maintain up to date testing profile.
  • Creates a monthly QA KPI performance report and conducts management meetings to assure all managers are aware of any issues. Follows up on any resulting action items with either suppliers or QACC to assure continuous improvement processes are in place.

About you:

  • An ideal candidate will have a minimum of High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma and 7 years of job-related experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of job-related experience.
  • International Quality Standards, ISO’s, FSSC, BRC
  • HACCP methodology.
  • Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate is skills. Ability to foster teamwork am members.
  • Good spoken and written English.
