Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to F&B Operations based on the approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Strictly monitor all F&B activities and ensure its compliance with the relevant Food Safety Standards and practices.
  • Provide support to ensure sales are conducted within the agreed financial parameters.
  • Assist in developing and implementing yearly strategy and ensure it is monitored, maintained and adjusted if needed
  • Assist F&B department / Cinema Managers in developing the Annual Plan that indicates the associated budgets and sales strategies
  • Assist in implementing the Company Annual Plan in order to achieve financial targets and objectives set by the F&B Manager
  • Assist in optimizing new and existing business opportunities to ensure business growth in line with the Novo Strategic Plan
  • Implement all chain and brand marketing activities/campaigns and monitor its effectiveness
  • Monitor sales performance of all Qatar/Oman Units and implement necessary corrective actions
  • Provide assistance in ensuring all legal requirements of both governmental and non-governmental sectors have complied
  • Monitor financial costs and ensure its adherence to the approved budget
  • Report all financial related issues to F&B Manager and recommend solutions to enhance financial performance
  • Ensure that all approved Purchase Orders are timely forwarded to the concerned vendors in order to avoid delays in products/items delivery
  • Prepare Daily, Weekly & Monthly Food Flash Report or as per management requirement
  • Take part in utilizing the menu price in the light of the cost of commodities
  • Assist F&B Manager in establishing targets / KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures
  • Monitor PAR levels for all food items to ensure sufficient stocks availability at all times.
  • Calculate figures of food inventories, orders, and costs
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly and yearly physical inventory for all NOVO sites.
  • Make proper documentation of market list, receiving report, grocery list and checking of invoices, etc.
  • Review and update all personally entered (locked) price quotations, quote validity and supplier’s data in the system.
  • Maintaining Fee Cap of Blanket orders for all Vendors.
  •  Assist F&B manager to control and supervise outlet F&B inventory.
  • Verify and follow up on all pending orders (approved and under approval) through system reports and / or by reporting any concerns.
  • Timely handle daily market list, allocate orders, check new items included for price and availability. Ensure approvals for onward vendor order confirmation
  • Conduct periodic market survey and report the survey results to the F&B Manager.
  • Conduct a routine yield test to determine the rational menu pricing and meet the acceptable cost percentage.
  • Ensure that the business complies with the local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that the business risks are identified, understood and monitored to mitigate the potential risks.
  • Conduct Quality Audit periodically to ensure compliance with the Food Quality and Safety Standards.

Skills Required

  • Good knowledge of F&B products and system
  • Advanced knowledge of F&B practices. Cost controlling and Inventory process
  • Understanding of legal requirements related to F&B
  • Experience in MS office tools, Dynamics NAV and ERP
