Your day to day

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain and control all necessary correspondences and filing system
  • Take messages and ensure communication is effective & passed on
  • Take care of F&B mailing and provide relevant correspondence with Guest queries
  • Be familiar with Food & Beverage Operation functionality and Special Task
  • Maintain good relationships with other departments
  • Provide excellent guest service as required
  • Works closely outside departments such as Human Resources and Payroll to ensure that the F&B department performance reviews, payroll/edits, or approvals are done in Civil Soft Payroll System as well as logs attendance points and
  • Track paperwork flow in F&B admin and F&B outlets
  • As requested, assists department with scheduling
  • Answers phones photocopies, faxes, files, scans
  • Orders office supplies for the department
  • Keep the F&B bulletin Board updated
  • Coordinates interview time between Recruiter and F&B management
  • Participate and assist F&B in all meetings relevant to the Department, take minutes of meetings if required

Menu preparation

  • Assist the F&B Kitchen in the absence of the Kitchen Coordinator

  • Plan the day-to-day routine works efficiently to ensure maximum service delivery in accordance with the hotel standard
  • Establish and follows a personal development plan – Assign the task to the Captain and Waiters
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor from time to time

Guest Experience

  • Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge which will enhance the guest experience
  • Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations
  • Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
  • Be able to promote the hotel (and InterContinental Hotels Group generally) products and services
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about all InterContinental Hotels Group hotels in our region and all F&B activities
  • Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the F&B manager as per Fire Life & Safety (FLS) procedures
  • Updates guests database system

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and hotel or company policies and procedures
  • Read, understand and implement the relevant sections of the FLS policy
  • Participate in social activities (green engagement, beach cleaning, blood donation, marathon, earth hour, etc.)
