The Director of Sales forms part of the Hotel Management team and reports to the Director of Marketing (Division Head). Uncover, prospect and sell group and individual business, in accordance with the objectives established in the Marketing Plan. Manage, lead and motivate the sales team. Ensure that all sales quotas are met. Ensure that sales activities, individual accounts and group bookings are focused and coordinated with transient demand to yield the maximum revenue per available room. Implement and support all Four Seasons sales and marketing minimum operating standards.

  • Hire, retain and develop diverse, high-caliber talent that makes a strong positive impact on the organization, and creates and sustains a work environment that embraces the brand’s culture, ensures fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success.
  • Develop and implement strategies to exceed financial results and drive market share, guest satisfaction, employee loyalty, and brand strength for the hotel.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to effectively manage all the different sales channels. Ensure the development of a strategic account plans for the demand generators in the market. Deploy sales team against appropriate market segments.
  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan, ensure projects are executed for all market areas as stated in the hotel marketing plan with emphasis on increasing sales and profitability, review market analysis and determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates desired, etc.
  • Ensures that sales and catering activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per room occupied
  • Ability to train and guide the team to ensure results are met
  • Direct sales activities to achieve budgeted goals, monitor and identify current and future business trends to ensure profitable sales in periods of low and high demand
  • Negotiate and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client’s needs
  • Direct the hotel’s group room sales activity and be proactive and creative in developing sales and marketing solutions
  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan
  • Contribute to our environment with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Communicate with team members to ensure the highest level of personalized service
  • Plan and execute sales developments, client events, sales calls and customer recognition
  • Coordinate with other Department Heads to ensure the quality of guest/group satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge about Four Seasons Hotel Doha
  • Demonstrate thorough product knowledge when communicating with guests
  • Be versatile, flexible, show stress management, manage criticism, and manage conflict effectively
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments

Desired Skills And Experience

We are looking for individuals who are strategic, proactive and who have a proven track record in sales. Applicants need to evidence strong revenue and budget management skills, have a creative flair for marketing, have good communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate effective leadership.

  • College Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Marketing Preferred
  • Luxury Resort or Hotel Experience Preferred
  • Middle East Experience is Preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Three to five years of prior experience in a Management role in the Sales & Marketing Division
  • Previous experience working with global sales team supporting group and leisure effort
