Digital Platform & Devops – Specialist – Qatar (3x positions – Junior – Mid – Senior)

My client is looking for 3x candidates. 1 Junior, 1 Mid level and 1 Senior for a 1 year contract. They are a major Oil & Gas operator based in Qatar

• Makes decision on foundational Digital platform capability, to enable product portfolio roadmap
• Define common cross use cases capabilities and evolution roadmap of underlying technology
• Build, test and maintain the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of the software (e.g., DevOps pipelines)

Scope of responsibilities

• Support IT digital data platform strategy and roadmaps (alpha, beta, launch) in close alignment with Digital Platform lead
• Support overall digital data platform delivery (all foundational products capabilities enablers)
• Responsible for design & monitor of platform KPIs
• Responsible for the installation and delivery of the digital data platform, with the support of the Data Engineer, the technical solution vendors and integration consultants
• Management of the digital data platform development team and align with software development & design teams to assure consistency with overall strategy
• Assure know-how & capabilities build-up for platform management cohort
• Oversee the code releases understanding the software development lifecycle and have a clear understanding of various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines)
• Manage the test process of use cases
• Sign-off of final digital data platform delivery

Core competences

• Experience in SW architectures & toolchain to enable Agile and DevOps at scale
• Experience in agile working methodology and DevOps especially on complex SW development
• Strong development background in scalable enterprise-grade data systems.
• Understanding of technology and product trends
• Is familiar with Jenkins, GitLab, or others
• Experience and willingness to build products and services to satisfy customers needs
