About the job

  • 10+ years of experience in shipping agencies
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory role

Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of shipping agencies operations and general cargo berths
  • Strong knowledge of local and international shipping related laws and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of Government organizations, procedures, policies and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management

Requirements

  • Ensure complete supervision of loading and discharging of cargo and agency vessels and ensure compliance with company operational policies and standards;
  • Responsible for all the supervisory reports, loading and discharging activities;
  • Responsible for the timely submission of PDA, Suitability and other related reports to the Agency vessels;
  • Monitor berthing/un-berthing arrangements and the discharging and loading activities for agency vessels;
  • Take charge of agency vessels customs clearance and immigration activities;
  • Provide advice to Shipping Agencies Section Manager for any major decisions regarding agency operations and contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts;
