About the job

Your Tasks

  • To produce contractual documents according to company procedures and ethics
  • To provide a quality, cost-effective and time efficient contracts service to Partners’ Entities
  • To participate in the optimization of the economic performance of the operations conducted in company
  • To prepare and launch RFQ
  • To issue amendment as requested by Technical User
  • Maintain reporting of PO issuance and on-going RFQ status
  • Work closely with the DUET counterpart to create the contracts dossier, develop a clear definition of contractual responsibilities and discuss the agenda including:
  • Validation of contracts strategy
  • Negotiation and analysis of commercial bids
  • Participation in recommendations to award
  • Adapt standard and template documents to local conditions
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to all contract owners/entities with respect to contractual matters
  • Liaise with C&P Methods/planning/market and line Manager for reporting and statistics matters
  • Keep informed or best practices in contracts procedures for improvement of contracts practices in COMPANY
  • Use frame agreements FALTC signed by shareholders
  • Participate to the validation of the contract’s strategy through:
  • Pre-qualifying bidders
  • Defining target prices
  • Defining criteria for evaluation
  • Performing CRA (contract risk assessment) together with DUET
  • Establish CFT commercial documents
  • Prepare and send out the dossiers of pre-consultation and Standard or Complex invitations to bid
  • Verify the alignment with HSE clauses, Company rules, Procedures, Instructions and applicable legislation when issuing all technical contracts and when drafting contractual and commercial terms and conditions, prepare the CRA (Contract Risk Assessment)
  • Verify the Terms & Conditions (standard, general and financial)
  • Compose contracts from standard contracts or without standard contract and create outline agreements

Your Profile

  • BSc Degree in Science or Commercial field or its equivalent, Master’s degree is preferred.- Intermediate level in Contracts Technical Competencies required- C&P tools advanced certification or proven experience is required- Advanced English level
  • Professional experience: 2 years post-graduate experience in his/her field and the O&G industry – Minimum 3 years as Graduate Contract Engineer or 3 years in purchasing of goods and/or services in the petroleum industry.- Familiar with HR / Recruitment / Personnel Mobilization to Qatar is a plus- Fast learner and moderate to advanced skills in MS Office
