About the job

(Some of) What you will be doing:

  • Establish, implement and monitor the company marketing, branding and communications strategy.
  • Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with media and influential professionals.
  • Define and implement external and internal communications strategy to meet business objectives.
  • Champions the importance and best practices of communications to raise Snoonu’s brand profile
  • Plan, develop, implement and monitor the overall marketing strategy, including market research, pricing, product/service marketing, marketing communications, advertising, brand positioning and public relations across channels (digital, press, all social media platforms, etc).
  • Improve conversion across product solutions working cross-functionally to determine lead quality, quantity, and cost structure.
  • Develop engaging content aligned with the sales cycle to be used across all types of promotion from print to digital
  • Develop organizational marketing strategies by contributing marketing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction
  • Determine KPIs for the marketing department & set marketing goals and objectives
  • Oversee email marketing, public relations, traffic acquisition, SEO, social media.
  • Ensure product features are correctly positioned to win in target segments (competitive positioning).
  • Product marketing; involves launching new products, creating promotions and messaging, monitoring the competition, and receiving customer feedback.
  • Exposure to all facets including Sales Support, Channel Marketing, Branding, Strategy, Messaging, Marketing Programs, Market Communications, Public Relations, and Analyst Relations.
  • Engage the leaders around issues, trends, and changes in the marketing strategy and delivery.
  • Partner with the Leaders on all marketing and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to the CEO based on marketing analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process and business model
  • Engage management and department heads to align the marketing strategy with short and long-term financial planning and projections.
  • Review all formal marketing-related procedures, processes, and administration, recommending improvements to the systems in place and managing the systems going forward.
  • Oversee Marketing budgeting, and its implementation so as to monitor progress and present marketing metrics both internally and externally.
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of all marketing reporting materials and metrics for Executive Leadership/Investors; prepare and communicate monthly and annual marketing reports.
  • Manage Marketing cash flow, forecasting and workflows; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
  • Execute online and offline marketing campaigns customized to drive Snoonu’s digital marketing positioning (Website, SEO, SEM, Digital campaigns) as well as to fill and grow the lead pipeline with high-quality leads.
  • Analyse market trends and success of marketing campaigns; create reports and implement improvements as needed.
  • Plan, organize and execute various marketing events such as prospect and customer events, conferences, exhibitions to increase brand awareness.
  • Develop and manage direct staff; guide larger multidisciplinary teams outside of direct span of control.
  • Engage other members of the senior management team to facilitate cross-department collaboration that ensures that all financial, IT, and HR solutions positively support Snoonu’s evolving strategy, operational delivery and internal communications needs.
  • Stay up to date with the latest marketing technology
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry best practices
  • Attend marketing conferences and educational programs

Do you have some of these as well?

  • MBA/MA in Marketing, Management or similar relevant field
  • Additional marketing certifications are a plus
  • 5+ years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility- with a focus on marketing expansion- as well as three to five years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience working with various marketing tools relating to market research, data analytics, website development, product branding, visual communication software, written communication, and public relations
  • Proven understanding of analytics and data analysis for in-product factors affecting retention as well as external factors affecting customer signups, business software (e.g. CRM, Amplitude, Appsflyer, Tableau).
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in big data analysis
  • Knowledge of Advertising, Media and Public Relations, Brand Strategy, digital marketing and social media
  • Polished presenter and adept at explaining PR and marketing terms and outcomes to senior players.
  • Possess considerable experience and judgement in all communication matters, including media and government relations, and can work effectively in crisis-like situations to give the best advice to senior management.
  • Strong knowledge of how to use market research to inform strategies and decision-making regarding audience-facing services and products
  • Passion for digital technologies
  • Expert in digital and social media marketing.
